WHY I FORMULATED IT

I made this serum to deliver visible skin renewing results while prioritizing comfort and long term skin health. It is for women who want a well designed retinol step without it becoming another full time job.

Traditional retinol can be effective, but it can be hard to use consistently due to its tendency to irritate the skin. I chose 0.5% encapsulated retinol because it is the concentration that gave the best results in clinical studies

 

WHAT IS RETINOL?

Retinol is a form of Vitamin A and it is one of the most researched ingredients in skincare for the visible signs of aging. Backed by thousands of clinical studies, retinol works by supporting skin cellular turnover and collagen production. 
It helps with fine lines, uneven texture, dullness and saggy skin revealing brighter and smoother skin over time.

 

Retinol is not an overnight solution. It works best when used consistently and paired with sunscreen.

WHY I CHOSE ENCAPSULATED RETINOL 

Encapsulation helps protect retinol from degradation and allows for a time controlled (slower) release into the skin. This improves stability and helps reducing the irritation normally associated with retinol so you can reap the benefits without sacrificing skin comfort.

Will this product irritate my skin?

Encapsulated retinol is used in this formula to help minimize irritation. However, ANY retinol product can cause a little or dryness in some people. Start slowly and avoid overusing exofliating products. Reduce frequency if your skin becomes uncomfortable.

Is this retinol serum good for beginners?

Yes, this product is suitable for people who are new to retinol because it has been formulated with sensitive skin in mind. For best results, start by using it twice a week at night and increase gradually to every day. 

Can I use this retinol serum with Vitamin C?

Yes, you can and should 😃. The best approach would be to use the Vitamin C illuminating serum in the morning and this retinol product at night. Remember to always use sunscreen during the day to protect your skin. If you're new to skincare , introduce one product at a time.

How long does it take to see results from retinol?

Skincare results from retinol vary from person to person according to  lifestyle. Retinol is designed for consistent and long term use, it is not a quick fix. You can expect to see improvements after 28 days minimum.

Can I use retinol during pregnancy?

No. Retinoids, including over the counter options are not recommended during pregnancy or breast feeding. Although with topical applications the amount of retinol reaching the bloodstream is likely none, I still wouldn't feel comfortable using it.
